I was in the radiotherapy department for 37 treatments . On almost all occasions the treatment took place at the time set down in the sheet Inwas given . I never had reason to ask for a change in the time of the treatment but others who were being treated did need changes and the staff were most helpful in re-arranging times to help the patients .
The staff were superb . All the patients were treated with friendliness and courtesy and most developed a very good relationship with the staff ( and it was also noticeable that the patients got on very well with each other ) . The result is that what might have been a distressing experience was converted into a feeling of a positive community . No one would want to undergo this treatment for fun but I shall certainly miss the feeling of being part of a family .
The overall impression was of a very strong and positive ethos which must have a powerful influence for the good on the patients .
