I was an in patient in Rm 10 at Woodthorpe hospital for shoulder replacement surgery, under Mr Wijeratna on 22/09/2022. The team were wonderful. I was welcomed and introduced to the ward and my room, with respectful care. The nursing team were professional, respectful and kind. The names I recall - Rachel, admission nurse, Paul in theatre. The wonderful recovery nurse too. Looking after me at night on the ward were Bernie and Georgina. The nurse team listened to me and informed me what would happen. Through a long night they checked in on me and helped me cope and get better. Laura and Frances the physiotherapists helped me understand recovery and what to expect Rebecca and Lucy helped on my discharge. The housekeeping staff were wonderful, helping me with meals. I felt safe and comfortable here. Thank you so much for your care. The caring atmosphere you work hard to create and maintain helped me feel safe, understood and promoted my healing. Alex the Physiotherapist is now helping me to improve shoulder movements.
