Everything was efficient and the people were friendly. The only thing I would mention is the pictures on the walls are a little jarring. They are all of very normatively attractive people, which felt odd because I was there to do something outside the norm (top surgery). Just something to consider next time the place is decorated.

I had top surgery here with Dr Ntanos in July 2023. I felt well looked after and listened to by the nurses. I was in over night so had my own room which was surprisingly spacious with it's own bathroom. I can't comment on the food as I was too ill from the anesthetic to eat it unfortunately but they had a good selection on the menu. This was the first and only private hospice been to so I don't have anything to compare it to but I would highly recommend it

My experience at the hospital was amazing. I was welcomed by a friendly face the second I stepped into reception. The nurses were great and efficient. They explained everything in detail as well as answering any questions I had. Post-op I was always being checked on and they came to help anytime I needed. They were all very kind and understanding, and made conversation as well as having a laugh and a joke when appropriate. This made all the difference, and because of this certain nurses really made a positive impact on the experience that I certainly won’t forget. The hospital was very clean and tidy, as well as being bright and naturally well lit. Overall, fantastic experience and highly recommended.

Had my consultation in March privately with Dr Ntanos and he answered every one of my questions. I came prepared with a list but as he explained to me they were all answered- he was thorough, respectful and humorous. He cares deeply for his patients and the whole time I felt prioritised. He checked on me before, during and after my stay at the hospital. The overall hospital stay was 10/10. Amazing communication from the staff, wonderful care, all the nurses were close and consistently looked after me. I was given great food, great care, and would recommend! Dr Ntanos has finance options for anyone struggling, so money was another thing I could cross off my list! I wasn’t stressed at all my entire stay and I could cry at how sweet they all were. I couldn’t thank these guys enough!

The pines is an incredible hospital, the room was great and despite just having surgery I felt alright to eat and was given food and drink when I felt okay to eat. I was also given wrap around care throughout the night and was made to feel very comfortable at all times.

This is one of the most lovely hospitals I've ever been to. Every single member of staff made me feel comfortable, and I even got complimented on my hair by a member of staff who wasn't caring for me! Genuinely amazing people doing amazing things, and they put up with a lot from me (throwing up and babbling under anaesthetic mostly haha), so if (for some reason) I needed another procedure done, PINES would definitely be my first choice despite the travel (I initially traveled from Brighton to PINES in Manchester, and it was very worth every second)

I had my surgery with Mr Ntanos at the Pines. I would like to thank all the staff at the pines for treating me with the utmost respect and care. I was made to feel at ease from the second I stepped into the hospital. The facilities are clean and modern, the food was completely different to the stereotypical hospital food, it was restaurant quality. I was kept calm and laughing whilst being escorted to theatre which massively helped calm my anxiety. I had round the clock care and would like to especially thank Rachel for looking after me during the night, making sure I was comfortable and relaxed. I can't think of any constructive criticisms, I think its a well oiled ship and serves patients well, from my experience. Thank you very much.

I had top surgery with Mr Ntanos here on the 7th of February 2023 and the staff were all fantastic! I felt like my feelings and comfort were valued by all of the staff and I was given flexibility on when I was comfortable being discharged. The doctors and nurses all listened to me and absolutely went out of their way to ensure I got everything I needed and more. They were all so friendly, patient and kind and made me feel truly at ease. This all contributed to being the first time I've felt truly comfortable with healthcare. I also noticed many of them took steps to be more inclusive including introducing themselves with their pronouns and respecting mine. They also made sure I got decent food as a vegan which made a nice change from most hospitals!

Everybody I spoke to at the Pines, and especially everybody that helped to look after me, was amazing. The nurses really knew how to put me at ease, and it hugely helped my anxiety around having surgery for the first time. Couldn’t recommend highly enough! Food was also lovely

I had major surgery at the Pines hospital this year under the care of Dr Ntanos, and it was the most pleasant overnight hospital experience I have ever had, despite the circumstances. The facility was spotless, the room was very comfortable with any and all needs attended in a caring and quick manner. The staff were the ones who truly shone, however. The nursing teams were some of the kindest, caring and attentive people I had ever met, taking time to check on me regularly and helping with any issues and discomforts I experienced, no matter how small. The pre op and operating room staff were similarly kind, and were assuring and careful with everything they did, ensuring that I was at ease and going into surgery with confidence. The meals were also excellent, nutritious and balanced, and really quite tasty. I believe that my intitial recovery in the hospital was helped by those seemingly small touches. I would recommend the Pines to anyone undergoing surgical treatment, and would like to thank all the staff again for their great care. - Jeff Maddison
