Medical and surgical care was excellent but not so happy with the admin departments. 1. My name was wrong on all the labels on the paperwork at admission. They had to be corrected and reprinted. This did not inspire confidence! 2. As a self funding patient I felt a bit like a second class citizen, as there was an excessive mentioning of payment on every correspondence and message I received. I always paid the invoices as soon as I received them but then after discharge I received a second invoice for the same payment. This was a shock and very distressing. 3. I understood before admission that the cost quoted was to cover the whole procedure and associates charges, however I found a second routine follow up appointment after surgery was not included. Nor was the considerable cost of the second course of medication prescribed. I think it should be made clear to patients that considerable extra costs may be incurred.
