I travelled quite a distance to get to my appointment which I thought would be an echocardiogram, ECG and checkup regarding HCM investigation. After a 5 minute consultation I was told I would need to come back for an MRI in two months time. I lost a days earnings, fuel and 5 hours in the car with a 7 month old child. I couldn't help but feel my case could have been dealt with over the phone / skype or at my GP surgery. I'm sure there's a better system that could be implemented in this modern technological age? Apart from that everything else went smoothly – VIVA la NHS. ;-)
