seen one and a half hours after appointment time. Dr uncaring, abrupt and downright rude. Brushed off questions as if it didn't concern patient. Still trying to obtain follow up letter to GP and copy to my husband two and a half weeks later. Told by admin staff letter sent electronically the day I phoned, total lies as week later GP still not received letter. Felt my husband didn't matter just a number. My overall view of your hospital, a cattle market. Get them in get them out just to tick the box.
A family member was brought into ED for attempted suicide and was treated with the greatest respect and compassion, even when he was abusive towards staff. The staff spoke to him kindly and didn't push any clinical intervention but respected his decisions. They facilitated a quick assessment by the mental health team and were able to accommodate us in a cubicle to reduce his anxiety. The staff were all attentive and could not be faulted in the way that they treated him. As an ED nurse myself I know the time pressures that staff are under but they never made my family members feel that they were in the way or anything was too much trouble. Thank you for making a traumatic time more bearable.
I could not fault the care I received
Came home yesterday afternoon after surgery three nights on Shalbourne. Absolutely first-rate! Staff were friendly, professional and the care I received was excellent. Very impressed with standards of both catering and cleanliness. Thank you.
Parking is a nightmare and very expensive.
Wasted months to get an appointment and no further forward as a result of seeing this doctor.
He didn’t assist me at all and wasn’t the slightest bit interested!
Dry rude, arrogant man.
Very impressed with the staff attitude. Also the efficiency with which the teams who had different tasks & shifts co-ordinated with each other.
The hodpital itself is light & airy & well equipped.
I wanted a family member to greet me on the ward after my operation. This was very important to me as I tend to get anxious and panic. The family member was sent home before I got see them and I spent the night without the human contact I needed and became very upset. This was compounded by the fact that in theatre the nurses were very nice, stroked my arms and made me feel safe when I was scared and on the ward it seemed that the nurses are not allowed to do this and so it was a bit of an emotional shock going from one extreme to the other. Other than that, I could not fault the physical care I received on the ward.
To solve this problem I think it would be good if patients were asked their wishes regarding family members after their operations as you cannot expect nurses to fulfil patients emotional needs and after an operation.
The staff are all very welcoming, kind, respectful and discreet. No questions are silly and they will always listen. If you need any support with your sexual health then they here can help and support you or guide you to the right treatment or place if they cannot provide it here for you.
Very pleased with the operation and subsequent after care by Dr Robin Bhatia.

Alldbourne ward is efficiently run and provides a good patient experience for orthopedic surgery.
Jane Batty the nurse practitioner provided support and information and gave me confidence regarding my recovery.
My daughter had to go back for my medicines I feel the medication could be dispensed more quickly which would provide an empty bed promptly.
