:)
All very nice. Well looked after
Maybe to have a television or radio channel on in waiting room as i was there for 6 hours and having something to watch or listen to would help pass the time away. The care that i received was very good and nothing was too much trouble, even my partner was able to have a cup of tea which meant he didn't have to leave me alone to go for a drink.
Care for my partner whilst birthing was great, mid-wife was with us throughout. Useful help given with breastfeeding.
I came into the WHBC on April 11th 2012, it was extremely busy but luckily we got a room and a beautiful one at that, it is a wonderful atomsphere, calming, relaxing, clean, and comfortable! I was looked after by 3 different midwives because of how busy the unit was, and at one point by a head midwife who wasn't meant to be on duty! The midwives were caring and supportive and I wouldn't change a thing. Towards the end of the birth there was a slight complication and the midwife quickly called another midwife in to help, I was given an episiotomy and baby was delivered happy and healthy.. The only negative feedback is that I was left quite a while between the birth and having my stitches which meant I had to go back onto gas+air pain releif after I had calmed down and relaxed after the birth, but I understand it was an exceptionally busy day. After we had had a rest, a shower and some food, they checked me and baby and we left just 8hours after the birth.. Absolutely perfect, spent our first night at home with my daughter! I also love the 'no visitors' policy. Means you have some time to rest + recupperate without friends+family coming in! Thank you WHBC for the wonderful experience and if goes well I will be having my next baby there!! :-)
the best hospital barr none, the nurses were allways willing to bend over backwards to get you what you asked for, allways putting you care before anything else, doctors talk to you with respect and allways explain anything cmplicated.
