Excellent care of a relative who attended the Same day Emergency care department. The staff were all very kind and helpful. They are doing an outstanding job despite these difficult times.
Following my overnight stay in hospital for surgery I found the staff polite and helpful. The ward was clean and staff cheerful despite how busy it was. No concerns at all would recommend Ward D48. Consultant fabulous (Mr Purushothaman) so nice and knowledgeable, cannot recommend him enough.
attended a@e today because to pain in abdomen light headed BP low
seen on B22 for review by DR Junejo
would like to thank Sharron and Elle
also a thank you to dr Junejo
all staff supported me during my 2 hour stay and kept me up to date with what was happening
the NHS gets lot of criticism but can say I couldn't have been treated any better on B22 today .
The midwife who took care of my post delivery was very supportive. My only constructive feedback is that whilst in labour I had the same midwife, but after I had delivered my baby had difficulty feeding and I wanted support to breastfeed. Presumably due to staffing levels there was no consistency with the midwife that helped and some of the attitudes were very unhelpful. It transpired that my milk never came in, but I was made to feel like I should be trying harder to breastfeed, even though I wasn't producing any colostrum.
The receptionist was pleasant when I arrived to be induced, and the midwives who I had encountered earlier in the pregnancy on shift came to see me briefly to wish me luck. The private room which I stayed in was clean and tidy. I didn't see or hear any other parents during my stay (although I was the only lady in labour on the day I gave birth), but I felt safe and secure. The medical staff were amazing and very respectful of my wishes.
I felt comfortable listened to and kept updated. Very nice friendly and supportive i felt in control at all times.
One of my twins was recently admitted to hospital with RSV. The a and e staff were very quick at seeing my little boy who was only 4 weeks old. They assessed him and put a plan into place immediately. The level of professional knowledge was great and very reassuring at a frightening time. My little one was looked after on f64 for a few days. There were lots of staff involved in his care but a special mention of Louisa and Lindsay on the ward, you showed a caring and reassuring approach.
We should be so grateful of having a super NHS service.
Thank you to all
Couldn’t fault my experience.
My baby girl decided to come really quickly. My husband and I were very impressed at how quickly the labour ward was set up for my arrival from the antinatal ward (following induction)
Staff were very approachable and allowed me to take things at my own pace
Couldn’t fault my experience when I was in to have my baby girl. The staff let me take things at my own pace. I didn’t feel like they were trying to discharge me too soon, it was totally my choice.
I got help with breastfeeding and staff were very approachable if I had queries
Positives - Midwifes and staff appeared knowledgeable. Midwifes were friendly, understanding and professional. Midwifes were good at asking consent prior to every intervention.
was able to keep the same room throughout my stay.
I was able to use the birthing pool.
To be improved - I was unable to book onto a ward tour on 4 separate occasions prior to birth as ward was too busy - I would have been more informed and felt more comfortable if I had been able to have a ward tour.
I had a 4th degree tear and nobody explained why this happened.
