I have attended Sunderland Royal for a CT scan on three occasions now the last being 04/04/23 all the staff were great from reception to the radiographers and thank them all for treating me with Kindness and respect, they are a credit to the hospital and the NHS. On leaving the hospital I came across a lady who had been dropped off with an ankle injury and was having difficulty walking. I offered my assistance and went to either get some help or a wheel chair. this took place at entrance 3 (pm yesterday)where I couldn't find a chair and approached a lady on urgent care reception explained the situation. to my amazement she got up came with me to assess the situation and returned with a wheelchair and attended to her needs. I would like to say well done to this lady from reception you were amazing. I have never seen this level of kindness in the NHS since attending the Freeman approximately eight years ago. Finally, this lady is a credit to the hospital demonstrating how the NHS use to be, how it should be and senior mangers within the whole NHS trusts can learn a lot from people like her.
