I was informed to request an x-ray before seeing the consultant, but was not made clear whether this needed to be done at the same hospital or how much time I needed to allow for this to take place. A clear indication of this on the paperwork would avoid unnecessary phone calls, placing unnecessary burdens on NHS staff.
