The reception staff were friendly and communicated honestly that I would have a long wait.

Nurses, doctors are very good. Plates are cold so food gets cold.

MAU was very good. Short stay unit where I ended up isn't in your list and the experience was slightly less good. I had a high fever suffering from neutropenic sepsis (I have terminal lung camncer) and I was quite confused. Worst problem was total lack of mobile phone signal which left me feeling anxious, scared and isolated as I couldn't communicate with my partner or family. Even having bought a Hospicom card at great expense, the telephone system was not working. Fortunately I was in a side ward, as eventually my family decided someone had to be with me virtually all the time as I became so confused and distressed.

The most horrible care and service provided at this hospital, long wait of 6 hours, for 15 minutes to see the doctor with the children in the middle of the night; in terms that we waited from 10 pm until 4am in the morning with 2 children ,and from 12pm the doctor left A&E and at 3,30am returned.Incompetence doctors and nurse as well. Arrogant attitude and miserable way of communicate.!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!Another time we waited 4 hours for the doctor to come and do the blood test and another 4 hours for the results. The only thing I can not understand why sooooo many children get to A&E for ear infections and urine infection and chest infection, etc??????????why are they not well treated and not to get to hospital for a stupid infection which can be treated by the GP????????Because doctors are not competent anymore ,they just take money but not care about patients. Horibleeeeeeee!!!!!!!!!

Parking spaces has improved since the parking barriers and ticketing has been introduced but the main car park has loads and big pot holes. We entered at carpark level, this corridor could use some re-flooring and painting. The floor the children's unit was on was clean and in the unit were toys for the children to play with while we waited.

It's extremely hit and miss. There are some outstanding members of staff at this hospital but most are rude, insensitive and completely incapable, even more sinister is the fact that they rarely know what they are talking about. I would not recommend this hospital to anybody, nor would I ever go there unless it was to help them improve their services, or I was physically dying and it was my only hope of staying alive.. even then you'd have to twist my arm to make me go. I have almost died, so I know what it feels like and I stand by my conviction- I would avoid this hospital at all costs. It has a terrible reputation and I don't wonder why. disgusting. outrageous. makes me feel sick just to think about it.

Review of Swan Ward - St Peter's
9th October 2012

while i was in this ward i nearly froze to death due to another patient opening the windows during the night and had fans blowing all night, (4 ights) i had to try to sleep with my clothes on including my overcoat, the nurses, charge nurse were good to me no complaint there, have to come back to st peters on 28/5/13 to see mr khellie, (may be wrong spelling), if he decides not to remove this frame from from my leg then i will take this to PAL also the BBC news and newspapers will be informed, i feel i have been very badly treated, so many mistakes have been made by this hospital and east surrey (which is not in guildford) paper work a joke, how can i be in two hospitals at the same time on the same date 13 miles apart,
