Review of Endoscopy Unit - St Peter's written by a patient

Professional, understanding, compassionate, kind, caring. All the staff were great. Lily Andrews was exceptional! I was very nervous, anxious. Lilly reassured me. Thank you.

Review of Dietetics - St Peters written by a patient
26th May 2019

I am so pleased that I was able to see a Dietician and she was so helpful. Wished I had seen one years ago. The dietician was so helpful and I think that my treatment at St.Peters and Ashford Hospital has been extremely good.

They just want to send old people home. My Nan was discharged after 24hrs of treatment for atrial fibrillation with medicine. On return she was unable to eat, suffered vomiting, diorrea and was totally fatigued and barely able to walk. After 9 days and reviewing online the treatment prescribed has these known side effects. Calling the local GP he said they should never of discharged her without stabilising the medicines and ensuring she had follow up care. On getting her returned to hospital they denied anything was wrong and we practically had to beg for her to be taken in as she hadn't eaten in 9 days. Speaking to others this is how they treat the elderly there - just want rid of them and hope they dont come back - and presribe medicines they know are risking. I have only the upmost respect for the paramedics and all the others who have provided fantastic care and assistance - however this hospital has some serious moral issues with older patients and needs investigating. I will be writing to our MP

My mother was admitted to A&E at St Peter's over the Easter weekend. The service received from A&E was swift and professional from all the medical staff involved. She was transferred to AECU for the remainder of her time. The nurses were caring, helpful and respectful towards my mother and the Doctors gave clear advice and guidance. Fortunately she is now back at home and on the road to recovery. Thank you to all for the great work that you do.
