Share review of St Peter's Hospital
Great care from staff and support with our child. Rooming in was essential for establishing a breastfeeding routine that suited us all and we are very lucky to have been given that opportunity.
Some feedback:
- parents only area is not always kept as parents only, which could be difficult for parents having tough days
- there seemed to be a big difference in the way babies were cared for between room 1a and 3. On 1a a desaturation would be dealt with quickly but as soon as we went to room 3 our child would sit in the 80s desaturating for 10-20 minutes some times before anyone would come and intervene. We feel this played a part in our child regressing back onto vapotherm less than a week after moving to room 3. It was also distressing to be a parent watching your child struggling without intervention.
