Arriving at the UTC, I had about a 20 minute wait in a line outside, during which I phoned 11 to update them on my situation and ask if I was doing the right thing, and then when the line moved forward enough that I could see the number to ring for questions, I spoke to (I assume) the UTC to check if I was doing the right thing; 111 had told me to go to St Peter's for a 13:30 appointment with no further information, so I followed signed and ended up in the UTC line, but there were no staff to check with to know if I was doing the right thing. Soon after, staff started coming outside and gathering information on the patients, and I was checked in. After being checked in, being seen was quick and the doctor I saw was fantastic. He was clearly very busy and seemed quite stressed, but he still took the time to give me compassionate treatment tailored to my needs. He then referred me to Surgical ED via A&E triage, for which I've already submitted a review.

Suggested improvements
If the UTC is overflowing like it was, it would be great if there could be a member of staff outside to let patients know that they're doing the right thing just joining the queue when they turn up.
