I couldn't give the marks I wanted as one member of the team totally let everyone and everything down. As a Covid19 positive case i was taken to a seperate part of the unit, the Dr explained to the HCA what to do next. I don't think I have ever met someone who gave me instant lack of confidence, could spell my name which is easy, didn't know howbto do obs on an infant, failed to book us is in so no doctors knew we where there, complained constantly when the dr asked to do my obs every 10mins because he thought they were fine - i just wanted to tell him to get on with it. When a Dr saw me and got me a bed in a&e opposite he asked this HCA to escort me over to the correct place, instead he marched me to A&E main reception with no regard for the fact i was having breathing difficulties!! The poor receptionist had to tell me to wait outside, leave the desk and find some one to help me. The Dr I saw in UTC ended up escorting me to the correct area and was extremely apologetic. I cannot fault any of other the UTC drs or staff, they were all friendly and put you at ease. Explained everything, what was going to happen and why, instilled confidence. They never appeared stressed or harrassed and genuinely concerned as if you were their priority.

Suggested improvements
HCA was usless New Dr in A&E insisted I was topless for my ecg which was ok but it would have been nice if she could have respected the fact i wasn't comfortable and been a bit more conscious of her actiond rather than removing the blanket and moving my breasts read just the cables. She may have seen may boobs but its not the point, I've never experienced a topless ecg in my life.
