Review of Orthopaedic Support Discharge Team - St Peter's written by a patient
29th August 2019

The OSD team are amazing, They are well led. They communicate well with each other and support well. They make excellent decisions. They are very professional and extremely caring. It was a pleasure to work with them to enable my recovery. The nursing team, especially Joy, whom we got to know well, as my top wound kept bleeding are so pleasant and know when to send the patient to clinic. The orthopedic team, especially Thomas, are encouraging and enable you to progress well. I feel that the patient should be involved in, discussing the aids needed. A big thank you to all.

Review of Gynaecology Clinic - St Peter's written by a patient
22nd August 2019

My entire experience since January this year when I arrived in A and E to my hysterectomy on the 1st August ,to the removal of my catheter on the 16th August has been excellent. Every single member of staff I encountered was so nice to me and totally professional. This made me feel very confident and relaxed when they were conducting any procedures on me. Everything was well explained and they were very reassuring where necessary. I was really impressed when following a visit in June to A and E I was contacted by Claire Mack a urogynacology nurse who arranged for my consultant Mr Zakaria to see me during a break in his morning surgery and he decided to bring forward the hysterectomy. There was no feeling of being rushed by them only that for my benefit this operation needed to be done asap. Claire and her colleague Kate Anders were extremely helpful to me regarding the catheter I had fitted which I had never had before and struggled with initially. They even give you their mobile number for any problems. There is a lot of common sense and flexibility in that department. Naturally like everyone I was slightly nervous ,when I walked into the admissions on the 1st August but the warm, smiling welcome from the young lady on the desk set the tone for the rest of my stay. I was so impressed by everyone I met and in awe of their hard work. I even enjoyed my breakfast and lunch the day after my operation. The apple crumble and custard was superb!!!! Two suggestions: There was nowhere in the bathroom of Kingfisher ward to put your clean towel and clothes down Secondly and this is probably down to me ,but when I was being discharged I think a krib sheet with general questions answered as I know that I was tired/ still not myself e.g when should the plaster come off, do I have a check up date sent to me? Can I bath or do I have to have a shower? My whole experience has been brilliant and I should have mentioned earlier that never once did I have to wait anymore than a couple of minutes for any of the appointments. Thank you to everyone
