I had good support from one of the nurses. Unfortunately when I actually really needed her to come and see my mother in her last week she was not available and I was left making difficult decisions on my own.
Excellent care and understanding . Home visits prior to chemo and during chemo gave a lot of help.
My husband's palliative care was managed by at home. It involved the community nurses from St Peter's hospice, The G.P and the team of local community nurses and myself. The support given to my husband & myself on an emotional, psychological & practical level was exceptional.
The level of communication between all the services involved (including the pharmacy) made a difficult situation more manageable & bearable, most importantly for my husband by also for myself. The response between myself & St Peter's nurses was rapid & appropriate.
Staff are wonderful.
Feels comfortable here.
Over last 5 weeks I have more confidence in my daily tasks.
Being with people with similar needs has helped me accept how I now am.
Excellent service needs to be on prescription. :-).
