My daughter was brought in Sunday morning with severe stomach pain and sickness by ambulance. She was seen fairly quickly and given some pain relief which helped her alot.
The Health Care Assistants were really great, especially Becky and Lee who made sure that my daughter got appropriate pain relief when necessary. They helped as much as they could considering how busy A&E was that day. They helped my daughter overnight and into the next day until she was finally admitted.
Results and communication of those results for tests that had been done could have been passed quicker instead of me having to ask what was happening some hours later, however when I did ask, the answer came back fairly quickly. The department was under pressure and extremely busy, so I understand.
At Helens ward was where she was finally admitted and my feedback for that is on the inpatient section.
