Timely information ... it took 14 months to seeva psychiatrist to formalise my diagnosis ... and now a further 8 months waiting on a "shorter list" for a psychological assessment (still waiting). I have sympathy for staffing levels and work loads ... but I'm still waiting. Safe in your care ... I don't feel safe in anyone's care. You would need to put a fair amount of effort to change that. Spiritual needs ... were never discussed Cultural needs ... were never discussed

Bluntly, hire more amazing staff. Your individual caseload must be huge ... and I understand the natural limits your team face ... and the effects of COVID ... but surely the waiting list is unsustainable

For the most part staff seem well-intentioned but lack the time and resources help fully.

When I have struggled with my mental health and been suicidal it hasn't been treated with any kind of urgency. It felt like I was being fobbed off with a minor tweak to my medication without even a face-to-face appointment on offer. The appointment was only over the phone with someone who has never met me.

I have been in contact a few time and always been told they would get back to me and I never hear back at all my mental health isn't good and trying to get help with my meds and out a plan in place just no one ever gets bask to me or even checks on me it just makes me feel worse makes me feel like they don't care and then I end up having Manic attacks and it's starting to destroy my family because we can't cope

First get back to me when I ring up as don't have follow up every time I ring up someone will ring you back no one brings you back home have been waiting mum's from medical review absolutely months my mental health right now is really bad but yeah no one's been in touch and no one wants to help so I'm kinda like stuck at a lot loose

Have had an assessment and checks done before seeing psychiatrist but have never seen one or heard any more from the mental health team

Followed through never ever got to complete appointment with psychiatrist think l was forgotten

As a white British male, I recognise that I am fortunate. However, I have never felt that this was 'held against me' by care providers, quite the contrary. Its just not been an issue at all, despite what agitating actors may be spouting. I have ALWAYS been treated with the utmost dignity.

Unfortunately the service is beset by staff churn problems and I don't think I have seen the same consulting 'prescriber' twice. I recognise the difficulties this places on all involved, but it is a small concern. Each time I speak to someone new they are very careful to understand my needs and handle my case diligently, but this in itself is a further resource burden on a busy unit. I mention this to give evidence of the unit's needs, but also note that the quality of compassion and professionalism experienced on every engagement has been great.

After improvements few years ago is much better. I feel I have good care.

Because I think my support work is amazing and so caring and understands me. She helped me so much I can’t thank [name removed] enough

You could not discharge me without telling anyone not even the support worker I have. My support worker is amazing and I don’t need to say anymore about her( [name removed]) But the team who decided to discharge me and not even let me know could do with improving because I didn’t find out until my support worker was fighting for me to get more mental health support and turns out I couldn’t because I was no longer under CMHT.
