Maddy was great. She listened to me concerns and put stategies in place to address these problems. All equipment/aids were received in a timely manner.

Suggested improvements
Under the circumstances you did great. If circumstances were different I really would have like at least have one face to face apppointment so I could have had a more customise treatment e.g. How is my grip strength, how deformed are my fingers. My doctor has yet to physically see me so really I have not seen anyone and no one has actually seen my hands. Just psychologically, speaking to someone face to face and getting that human interaction would have been ideal and I'm sure sped up my healing. Bit under the current circumstances I understand why this could not have happened.

Response from St Mary's Hospital

We appreciate the understanding and flexibility shown by all of our patients so far through the pandemic. We are continuing with the use of telephone and video appointments as these reduce the footfall into the clinics and help us manage the risk to both staff and patients. However we do recognise the frustration that may pose for our patients, as well as the potential psychological impact and delay to recovery time. We are still offering face-to-face appointments based on a clinical need as felt by our team. This is being reviewed frequently and we hope to return to a more ‘normal’ way of working soon.
