Although it took a long time coming, it was great to have one-to-one support and advice. The training was a useful refresher and the Practitioner was non-judgemental and professional.
The Practitioner was also able to refer us to LAC CAMHS, something that we had been constantly knocked back for by others (social workers etc) for some time but something that we knew our child needed and we were at a loss how to achieve. The Practitioner was able to recognise this from our conversations and feedback from school. As a result we were able to see a Psychiatrist which resulted in our child getting a diagnosis and medication which has had a big impact on his behaviour and will potentially enable him to keep his place in a mainstream school. We are very grateful for this and his ability to help us as a family here.
