Most disappointing hospital. Told to arrive at 7 a.m. and, with other patients, found doors closed. Very cold standing outside. Opened after a few minutes and my name was not on the list. Delay. Delay also for those on the list as the lady receiving us did not know the door access code. Eventually, a call to a ward confirmed that I was on the list and I was allowed in from the cold. This was very poor treatment. Brusque reception in ward with a question from staff as to where I was and why I was late! In registering this criticism I have experience of visiting Epsom and Ashtead hospitals where reception is far better than at St. Helier.
