The communications prior to the operation were confusing. The pre op meeting was rushed through on a saturday 3 days before due to 'it being a busy time' After the operation. Something to eat for the evening -after my morning operation - did not arrive. I asked if I had been forgotten and eventually at 21.00 hrs I was given a bowl of tinned soup - which had spilt all over the dish and plate (and a yoghurt). Post op I asked to go to Spire Sutton Coldfield to have stitches removed. This was also messed up with the times etc the surgeon turned up to see me, but I was told twice that he would not be there. The nurse who tried to take eye stitches out was not experienced in taking "these type of stitches" out. She pulled at the lid without adding a little pressure to stop lid being pulled outwards. After breaking the stiches down to skin level and unable to catch the end of the stich, I asked them to stop and speak to the surgeon, who came in the next day and removed the stiches himself.
