I have just had a hip replacement at the Spire Lea Cambridge Hospital. This was my third surgery at this hospital; that in itself speaks well for the hospital. The nurses and care attendants are friendly, caring, and helpful. They are also come into your room with a positive attitude which, as a patient, is uplifting. Even with all of the stress they have been under the past year and three-quarters, they always took a moment to make a friendly and/or personal comment. The hospital is immaculate. My room was thoroughly cleaned every day. I felt very safe from any possible encounter with Covid. The food is good and the chef/cook will offer something not on the menu, if you're feeling poorly. S/he made me chicken soup and that was the first thing that tasted really good after my surgery; it wasn't on the menu. I can't think of a complaint. From check-in to check-out, I was treated with care in a respectful and kind way.
