Information given was often conflicting. Firstly about how long to expect to be in. Nobody agreed which left me struggling g to organise transport when told I’d need to go day 2 before lunch. Then they pressured me by saying if I didn’t someone else’s surgery would be delayed. The nursing staff thought gloves made them Omnipotent so didn’t wash hands and just touched everything with the gloves. Then they said the physio will come. She’s on the ward. No I don’t think you will see a physio. Oh here is the physio. Same with the pharmacist. The room lights were faulty and came on as spotlight in the night. The staff couldn’t turn it off so they climbed up and taped black plastic over it. Some of the staff were superb. I just think communication and awareness as a team was missing and that they underestimate the impact of this on patients.
