I booked a self pay consultation with an ENT consultant and was quoted a fee of £220. As part of this consultation an endoscopy was used. At no point was I advised that this would cost an additional £200 and so I had assumed that this was included in the consultation fee. If I had been advised of the cost I would have declined. Spire then charged my credit card with this amount without my prior authority. As a result of this lack of transparency on costs I shall never use them again
