The staff were absolutely brilliant .. cheerful, responsive and caring .. everyone from the cleaner to the pantry staff who provided copius teas for my visitors, to the physics and the nursing staff. Responded quickly to my bell calls and made my 3 night stay very comfortable.

Thankfully haven't needed to stay in the hospital, but always been outpatient. Negatives, always a long queue is check in, and staff could be a little more friendly, but I suppose they're too busy to deliver excellent customer care.

Nursing staff were absolutely amazing. Nothing was to much for them. Always very polite and friendly and helpful.

The only thing i disliked was when someone comes into your room, people walking by can see into your room, the bed is in full view and if your having some form of treatment it can be seen by those walking by. I would have liked a curtain by the door for more privacy.

I was recently in this hospital for 5 days for a total hip replacement. My experience was far from favourable. My criticism is with the nursing, not the Surgeon who performed the operation or the Physio team which helped me recover afterwards.
At no point did a nurse offer to wash me in the time I was there. I did not see the same nurse twice and some of the staff were inexperienced and not able to help me. If I rang the buzzer, it regularly took 10 minutes for a nurse to come. The day after my op I was left for 15 minutes on a full bedpan, not a comfy position after a hip op. The nurses often needed reminders to give me my drugs and there seemed to be no doctors around, even when at one point my blood pressure dropped very low. When I left the hospital I was simply given a carrier bag full of drugs without proper explanation.
Maybe some of this is a general lack of nursing these days, with the idea of getting you out as soon as is humanly possible. This was not a good experience and I would not recomend. To top it all off, after I left, my husband and I complained, were told it would be looked into but no one from the hospital has followed through and got back to us. Not good..
