Whilst I wouldn't want to be in hospital, especially over Christmas, my experience of Southmead hospital was very positive and the level of care shown to me and my family was fantastic. The only niggle was on my discharge where I was told in the morning I could be discharged following an early morning scan and set of blood tests, but it took until 17:00 to finally be released. Something that I thought could/should have been speeded up, especially with all the news about the lack of beds. That said, I wouldn't want to take away from the overall experience I had and would like to thank all the staff who I came into contact with.
