After been neglected in 2010 with acute pnuemonia sent home as muscle pain, my fears come bk when I got CAP pnuemonia. I visitedthe A/E department on 20/06/16 where I was diagnosed with CAP pnuemonia I was given xray and blood test was told that both shown infection and for me to carry on with the clarithomycin the gp had given me and they gave me codeine for the pain and sent on my way home I have a lung disease called bronchiectasis and they still sent me home. On 22/0617 I returned to the A&E unit around 3.30am. was left to wait over a hour in the waiting room before being Sen by anyone the hospital was empty my complaints were not feeling better and bad chest pain. I eventually get me bloods and Sat results doctor was happy to send me home based on them test alone even though I told him I need iv antibiotics. He refused me iv treatment in a result I've had to wait 7 days for the clarithomycin to kick im lucky enough I had my chest specialist appointment on the same day she prescribed me a further weeks course. I simply have no trust or respect for salford I'm so stupid to keep using them especially the A/E department. I will say there chest specialist at salford royal are amazing but the A/E staff simply don't care and have a rush in rush out mentality. Unless ur a drama queen doing back flips on the floor your unlikely to get the treatment you need, admitted or taken serious.
