our son has been treated @ RVI for the last 4.5yrs (Dec 2011 @ present) and the care, advice and support we as a family have had is absolutely brilliant, cannot fault the care we have had.
From the nurses on ward to his specialist nurses to the doctors to the haemo nurses and not forgetting the play specialists!!. Its a new hospital building which looks good.

I have had experience of three outpatients departments at this hospital and each of them treated me excellently.
I have driven through blizzards to attend appointments and all my efforts have been rewarded by the expertise shown and given by the consultants!! Prompt delivery of results to patient is greatly appreciated and ongoing contact with relevant departments makes for good care. As soon as a I walk into this hospital it feels special. The atmosphere within the building is felt immediately. It emanates calm and care - just how do you do it? You are all EXCEPTIONAL.

Treatment by nurses varied on different wards and individuals. Some were excellent others were OK. I feel RVI is clean and well mainatined but the food is awful!! Staff at outpatients department have always been helpful.

I have no complaints at all. The only reason I said 90% to the way I was treated by the nurses is because there was a problem with my diet due to the nurses either not reading or not passing on information from my care sheet (I need a special medical diet) so I missed a few meals.
