I was admitted unexpectedly and spent a full 4 weeks in this hospital. Half of this time was while a decision was made on my treatment and when there was a space for my operation. Communication was not good between the neurology and oncology teams This included notes being lost and having to be redone. The staff were kind and caring but they were overstretched and understaffed. This meant I moved beds a few times to accommodate new patients. The medical care was good but I definitely had the impression the staffed were stressed. My discharge was poorly handled and I was sent home in my gown and bed socks. No after care for my wound was organised with my surgery or occupational therapy for when I got home, other than physio.
