I was attending A&E with my father 90 year old. After waiting for more than half an hour inside the ambulance we were wheeled into a trolley area which was hurriedly cleaned and a single sheet put on it. We were parked in a corridor. After about 6 hours I asked for someone to help me change my dad as he had wet himself. Placed in a curtained area briefly and I had to act as a nurse to clean and strip him and bedding was rolled to me. No Thankyou or any interest we were wheeled back. No water. Total carnage of people bleeding. Burned violent. Burns. Dementia and injuries. I got dad water and got then put in a curtain booth where a medical students first day on duty. Pathetic as my dad is deaf and the mask is useless. I protected my dad from police restraining violent drunk fools and then after yet another test was told he had covid and needed to go to isolation. He was given a pic line which fell out so he was bleeding and I had to ask a nurse for a plaster but she did not even clean it and plopped a cotton ball and a torn micropore strip. No care. He was out of it. Hectic gp told me to go home at quarter to 2 in the morning. It was no way a stressless situation. Had to leave him alone. The whole department is wrong. No organisation. No care. No way I caught covid. A CHEST INFECTION and asthma. And my dad is still in hospital. A terrible experience
