I would like to commend the gi endoscopy department for the first class experience I received when having my endoscopy yesterday. It did look a bit grim being in the basement and could do with being decorated but as I walked through the door I was greeted by a someone in green scrubs who gave me a warm welcome and this put me at ease. I was very nervous and was reassured by the friendliness of the team who showed genuine compassion. I would like to thank Agnes who checked me in, Rani and Virginia who checked me out , the porter who's name I didn't get but is the fastest pusher in the hospital! and most of all, Dr Patch who's calming manner gave me the confidence to have the procedure without sedation and kept me calm throughout. I am very grateful to this team. My constructive suggestion is that the receptionist although polite could have been more engaging.
