Everything from a medical and personality viewpoint is, as always, as good as it gets.
As always, this is marred by the horrendous parking situation, whether in finding a parking space, or finding a conveniently placed ticket machine.
The parking charges, although high, would be acceptable if the hospital benefitted in total, rather than being shared commercially.

I can review only as an outpatient and have received excellent care. Two minor operations for skin cancer were carried out very professionally leaving little trace of any work having been done.

Wonderful treatment by a fantastic consultant Robert Almeyda.
Very professional, an expert as far as I am concerned & so nice & friendly, made me feel very comfortabel as did his nurse.
I would also like to give a mention to Dr Yap who I was seen by previously & who referred me to Robert.
He was also brilliant.
Very happy with my treatment & would just like to say NHS you are all doing a wonderful job.

Royal Berkshire Hospital is safe, caring , and responsive to people's need.
My criticism is I have to wait for 7 months before I have an appointment.

During my lengthy stay in hospital I was incredibly well looked after by staff, the nurses in particular.
I did feel that the long shifts meant that the nurses struggled towards the end of their shifts.
I was occasionally prevented from taking my regular medication because of technicalities and lack of doctors to prescribe.

I think we are lucky to have the RBH but I do have a few issues: I have several different conditions which are seemingly unrelated for the most part. I am surprised at the lack of communication between departments, two of my worst symptoms appear to me, as a lay person, to have a definite connection. However this seems not to be the case. I have discussed this with other people who agree that it seems odd that one has to go back to the GP before a connection can be made. Surely whilst one is in hospital as a patient it would be less expensive and have an effect on reducing admin costs to be referred by one specialist to another?

Mr Almeyda was very caring and very reassuring throughout the whole course of my treatment.
I feel Dr. Robert Almeyda went over and above for me after 10 years of trying to get somewhere with my sinus problem i feel he very supporting during all prior, during and post operation.
