Level 4 eye unit at Royal Berks Hospital is very shabby & definitely grubby - the floor in reception was black & had years of built up dirt - the toilets were appalling.
Suggested improvements
Shut down level 4 eye block - it’s for pre-operative assessment & it didn’t make me want to come into hospital or trust that I will be ok - the first nurse practitioner was from Pakistan which is fine but I didn’t understand her dialect & when she heard I was also a nurse asked me if I could get her a job!! I felt very uncomfortable.
