Review of Sunflower Suite written by a patient

The staff are always caring and helpful. Joy is a wonderful nurse/sister. She has helped me get through this difficult time. The only thing I would say that they could improve on is to try and keep to time of appointment and try to bring chemo appointments earlier in the day due to the fact if your delayed or it makes you feel even more ill the longer and later you waiting.

Staff very caring. Tea trolley useful. The atmosphere in the Sunflower Suite is really good despite the serious treatment.

The nursing care is very good and attentive. The only downside to this chemo ward is the delay in starting the chemotherapy due to long period between arriving on the ward and the specific chemo prescription being sent down from the pharmacy. Could the patients not telephone in to confirm their arrival in say, a hours time and then the pharmacy produce the prescription to arrive on the ward at the same time as the patient.

Don't think anything could be improved. Long delays due to emergencies. All efficient, helpful and kind. Altogether a good experience.

I found I was well looked after and all the nurses were very good. I can't think of anything that needs improving.
