The whole experience was so great. A&E departments are known to be slow and I cannot comment on that, as I fainted whilst waiting in queue and then was rushed through the process for which I am grateful. But the service and staff was brilliant, very caring. I had a SHO who I believe was called Shannon but not sure, the consultant was very direct and honest about my condition but also very friendly and compassionate about the situation.

Dr Lawrence is always all that could be expected of a caring consultant

On previous appointment on arrival reception said I should have received a letter changing date as Dr Lawrence not in . As her name was on the attendance board I had to insist I see her and was directed to her nurse who spoke to her and my appointment went ahead .It seems all her appointments that day had been changed to telephone consultations , Hence as me and other patients were traveling to Queens were obviously were not at home to take the calls .This type of admin error has to be corrected.

Everyone was very helpful keeping me informed about the delay in seeing my consultant.

Suggested improvements
The consultant I was due to see at Queens was at King Georges. Therefore there was a long delay whilst another consultant also at K G s arrived at Queens. Approximately a 2 hour wait. Why the mix up?

Mr Mukherjee is absolutely brilliant and has been from the very start of my diagnosis. Who knows what the future holds but I cannot thank him enough and will remember him forever ❤️❤️

Whoever took my blood yesterday was amazing. No fuss straight in. And I know I was dehydrated. I’ve had a LOT of blood tests lately and this was the fastest and most painless.

Even the lady who organised my appointment went out of her way to organise a female for me as I was embarrassed. At the appointment the procedure was fully explained and everyone made sure to make me feel comfortable. I was even provided with two gowns for modesty.Thank you so much!

It would have made me feel so much better if I could have just requested a female for this invasive procedure because if Julia hadn’t gone out of her way I was going to have a male radiographer and I was going to cancel.

I didn’t have to go to hospital as it was a telephone call but the person who phoned was very polite and gave me all the information that I needed
