It was extremely difficult to find somewhere to be dropped off and picked up. Parking is a disaster
Doctor who gave injection very very unprofessional. Have had eye problems since having 8 days ago. Nurses are rude and abrupt to patients, stand around talking about them . Most unprofessional department I have ever visited in a hospital
Overall good service
While I was there the paramedics was very good but while I was very confused nursing staff was very unkind to me no compassion was left very cold no covers was given
Poor elderly lady in bed next door kept calling for help and was constantly ignored
My experience was very horrible I felt very low anyway and was made to feel worse
I gave my answer as a feedback for decision making, to let the management know that they hired quality staff and that they themselves are doing a very good job. I thank God for Queen's Hospital for being here for us whenever we're in medical need.
Queen’s Hospital provided a top-notch experience. The staff was exceptionally attentive, ensuring comfort and addressing concerns promptly. The facility was impeccably clean, and the medical care was thorough and professional. Overall, a reassuring and positive experience at Queen’s Hospital."
Was sent by GP with a letter of referral for severe abdominal pain. Was sent to SDEC. Triage nurse there didn't want to see letter. Was sent to waiting room, had bloods taken & then waited 11 hours to be seen. I was in severe pain and after being there approx 7 hours I asked the obs nurse for some pain relief while waiting. Another nurse even came & asked if I was allergic but still no pain relief was administered. I asked 3 times in total over 4 hours & each time was told they would get me something. I am T2DM which was noted on my referral letter but no diabetic medication given either.
It was only when I was called to see the doctor after 11 hrs waiting that I was eventually given paracetamol via iv, told to come back in 2 days for a scan & sent home with 8mg cocodamol ( even though I had explained that I was taking 15 mg x2 cocodamol at home but it hadn't had any affect. I arrived at 7.10pm & left at 7.20am.
The communication/care was very poor to those people in the waiting room. Once seen by the doctor the nursing care was very good. I could see that they were being pushed to the limit but communication with patients in the waiting room, some who had been there for 16 hrs, was non existent and felt like we were being treated with contempt.
However, I was also disgusted in the way some ppl spoke to the staff, being very rude & abusive due to their long wait. The wait was horrendous especially when in such pain but it certainly didn't warrant some of the abusive comments from other patients.
The nurses were very much on the ball and carried out their duties with care, consideration and respect.
Outstanding support and care throughout.
All the Doctors and nurses did excellently well. Thank you all for the care. Communication was very good. I truly appreciate. God bless the King.
