All the staff have been fantastic. They talked to my son in a friendly and playful manner and communicated to me (mum) very well and clearly. The playroom is excellent (indoors and outside) and helped my son settle on the ward, I as well as the small toy/back area in each bay. The ward is clean and the chair bed was great, as I had to stay overnight with my son. Breakfast could be served a little earlier (say 7:30 am). My only criticism is the delay in taking him to theater. I appreciate sometimes things can be delayed; but re presented to King Georges A and E the night before and were told to come to Queens 9 am the next morning, however were sent home, told to return at 3 pm and went to theater at 7:30 pm. 24 hours after my sons laceration. Our of hours services should be reviewed and communication between the hospitalities.
