The unit is way understaffed and as a result staff do not have the time to update patients

The unit is severely understaffed, I sat in a n e for 12 hours before I was seen, tired hungry and in a lot of pain. When alone you are afraid to go to the toilet or something to eat in case you miss your name being called. I asked for pain relief and I saw many many others asking for the same however the staff need to reminded several times and in my case I just gave up as I seen others getting ignored so I sat there in pain all night. Old people also don't like to complain so it's not fair on them. Once I did get seen the treatment was very thorough
