As much as I felt the care professionals (when you eventually got to see them) communicated well with me, they did not seem to communicate well with each other. It seemed that each person I saw ignored or overrode the previous person hence it was frustrating and my care/treatment seemed to be taking forever or going backwards. It was only when you got to see a consultant - presumably when all the results were in - that things progressed. These consultants were very good but you felt that time was of such a premium that it was a bit of a whirlwind.

Suggested improvements
If you are obviously feeling unwell then 28 hours on hard chairs in urgent and emergency care is not beneficial. After 28 hours I was offered a proper chair before being transferred to a ward. You need more staff, more beds and more comfortable chairs! The staff are too busy, have to do everything in a rush and are spread too thinly - this part of the system is hanging on by a thread.
