All the team who we had contact with during our stay were outstanding. Cannot fault the care or support provided. Each team member is a credit to the obstetric team and any expectant mother would be lucky to have such an experience. While there were so many amazing members of staff I can only remember a few names of some particularly incredible staff. Midwife Vivian from the labour ward who was present in the birth centre during my birth was exemplarly. She was calm, supportive and provided outstanding care during the entire process despite not usually work in the birth centre. Equally, another midwife who came in in the last stages of labour who I cannot remember their name was also incredible. Also Midwife Sharna who was working the night of the 24/04/24 in the birth centre was equally amazing. She provided continued support for all of the ladies in the ward and her advice and calming attitude instilled confidence and reassurance during that first night. She also provided outstanding breast feeding guidance to enable a good latch which enabled me to feed well the following days. I cannot possibly name all the other amazing staff but each and everyone of them, hostesses to HCAs to midwifes are a true credit to the obstetric team at Queens and rightfully deserve recognition.
