Absolutely horrendous - 16 hours in eSDEC - 79 years old sitting on an uncomfortable chair! A more comfy chair after 11 hours which still couldnt be called comfortable! no medication was given - asked for paracetomol 3 times before getting given any. Bloods were taken then when the result was back an ECG was said to be needed - didnt go presenting with chest pain - and wasnt advised why an ECG was needed. Another blood test was done 10 hours later ti see if the ECG was still needed.. The ECG was done anyway an hour or so after that blood test. 5 hours later still no results, noone seemed to know why and then were told we could go home and the results would be sent to mums GP. Still no idea what was wrong with her and 16 hours wasted - She takes regular medication but noone asked her what so she didnt get the neds until i went home and got them - after the paramedics saying we didnt need to take them with us as would all be got from mums records and she would be given them at the hospital! The whole experience was horrible, to see old age people on trolleys alone in the corridors was heartbreaking. Queens needs someone to step in and dort it out - no wonder people are dying! We wasnt kept updated with any information at all.

Suggested improvements
The whole hospital - especially A&E needs a massive shake up! Maybe the GP's going back to working normally would be a BIG help! i know this area is massively over populated without adequate services but its beyond anything I have ever seen!
