Because I am.89 I didn't expect extra care by any means. However I dud thunk that about 24 hours ganging around in A&E was horrendous . Only one doctor on for the first night in thereto cope with dozens if patients. How could he/her possibly manage during the night on their own. There were not enough chances of getting a cup.of tea or coffee &,apart from a snall packet of biscuits when the drinks did come, not a chance to even buy a sandwich etc.. FRom.tye timebimleft home in the ambulance to myvreturn was about 25 hours waiting to see a doctor & get an x-ray scan, Ecg , etc etc. Most of which happened the second day.. I was completely alone all that time as my youngest daughter passed away 22 months ago ,& my other daughter lives in Weymouth.

Suggested improvements
Thus is a silly remark but what is needed is MANY MORE DOCTORS, NURSES ,& STAFF in general. The wonderful nurse in charge during the very long night was fantastic. She cared for everyone & never stopped running around all night. Her name was Beth. After me sitting on the awfully hard seats in A&E fir countless hours Beth got me into a vacant recliner in the middle-of-the-night, despite all the rush she was coping with.
