My partner spent 25 hours in queens a&e most staff where ok & helpful but was asked the same stuff a hundred times got iv antibiotics late as was told it had been forgotten then got told to remind them for the next lot. After umpteen people checking what meds he took (I'd taken them with me in the chemist dosset box) he takes a parkinsons med twice a day but this particular nurse said doc had only written once so that's all he'd be getting whilst there so I said so just because its been written down wrongly he will suffer its imperative he has it it must not me missed. I did tell her if you dont give it him I will. She said even if she beeps the doctor he won't come back. It got changed or she was telling me the wrong thing who knows. Kept telling me go home get some rest there was no chance I was leaving my partner as he was unable communicate with them. After 25 hours they said there was a bed in King georges so off we went there for 2 days. If I hadent been there with him he would have just been left with no food and drink. He had a sarnie that was nice the coffee was vile like warm the juice had a faint taste the hot food they gave him was inedible baring in mind he has swallowing difficulties a piece of stringy rubbery chicken in a tom & herb sauce. Sauce was nice. Wedges some where rock hard you could actually hear the snap as you broke it in half the the rest was like rubber. Was totally inedible all obviously cooked for too long. The porridge was a big lukewarm dollop in a bowl with cold milk tipped on it was vile as was the coffee I actually had a black coffee it was warm and tasted horrid.

Suggested improvements
Document properly whats asked instead of the same people repeatedly asking the same things. Keep patients more informed of what's actually going on. I know it's a really busy department Do something about the drinks on that tea trolley. The breakfast trolly on Sunday I'm sure it was 10am gone it turned up thats very late. Before food is given out to make sure its actually edible. When we got trf to King georges on Sunday night the food there is so different it's appetising looking its edible and tastes really nice.
