The ophthalmology dept at Queens is exceptionally busy. I attend with my father every 3 weeks or so. We are always there for at least 3 hours, even on a Sunday. It does not matter what time you have an appointment there is always a delay of at least 2 hours ( even at 8.30am ) I don't know how this problem can be resolved. We sit and wait patiently as we feel we get good care and mostly we see Miss Abeysiri herself. However, it is a test in patience, and my father is 87 years, so it is always a very long and tiring day out for him.
