I came to Urgent Care with a swollen leg (?DVT) and waited 2 hrs to see the triage nurse and 11 hrs to be seen by a doctor. After 7 hrs waiting I asked the receptionist how many peaple in front of me and I was told there is only 1person. 3 Doctors on duty were coming out calling patients and no one was calling me. I waited another 3 hours from the time I was told there is one more person ahead of me. All this time I asked the receptionist when is my turn and why no Doctor is calling me in. She was not able to give me an answer. People that arrived few hours before that time were called in, those people could walk and did not look distress or in pain. Myself with a swollen upper leg, not able to walk or sit on those plastic chairs, I had to wait for so long. After 11 hours wait I was called in by a Doctor. After a short discussion the doctor decided to send me to Majors where I waited anothe 2 hours. Very disappointed !!! I am a NHS worker for 13 years and I am fully aware of the staff shortage. But I believe that the Urgent Care at Queens Hospital can be a lot better organised.

Suggested improvements
*Triage nurse should see patients earlier for the primary assessment and a CCOT to decide priority. *Patients that visit Urgent care should not pay parking for more than 4 hours. I paid the parking £18. *Nobody asked me if I need a drink. There is a water dispenser but not everyone has a empty bottle to refill.
