I felt the nurses understood my condition better than the doctor who just seemed to want to get rid of me and refer me back to my G P he told me my G P has better access to pain killing drugs then he has there at the hospital which seems ridiculous when I know they have a large pharmacy stocking everything,, I have been waiting 5 weeks for an MRI scan which i beleive is far too long , but he didn't offer to help in anyway just said I would have to continue to wait even though I am now getting electric shocks up and down my legs.
Thanks
all the time we were in the hospital staff were pleased to help, very friendly and helpful, I can not fault it.
I accompanied my 89 year old father to ENT today, we appreciate the can be delays but do have a problem how these delays are communicated. On our arrival we noted that there was 20 minute delay after waiting 40 minutes the delay was changed to 50 minutes but no reason was given ie could the delay have been due to an unforeseen emergency. So perhaps patients could be advised on a more regular basis. After waiting 90 minutes we were seen by registrar who informed that he had not received a report on my father's MRI scan on 17th March 2017 and consequently could not recommend my father's discharge. We have no problem with the registrar but my father was extremely frustrated and annoyed.
The staff at the reception are very helpful and polite, the nurses are excellent in fact all the staff are excellent.the hospital is nice and clean, you can't improve perfection ?
Friendly staff, very informative and not too long of a wait. All in all 3 hours.
The care I received today could not be faulted.
I would like to say thank you to all the midwives and staff that my partner and i met duri g our 2 day stay at Queen's birth centre and Labour ward. These members of staff are a credit to Queen's and to the NHS on a whole. They constantly checked that my partner was ok, basically every half hour. And they ensured that our baby was born without any problems. Thank you to you all! You are all superstars! Every single one of you that we met were very nice, polite and would go out of their way to help us!
General care is OK.
Two days I have been in hospital, there has been poor communication with my tablets and medication.
I was not happy with one nurse today re my tablet.
Looking forward to going home. Ward nice and clean.
Ward could do with a paint up. Food is okay - but mash potatoes are not nice!
Call button in my room was good as this nurses came in good time when I needed them.
All good apart from lack of linen at weekends.
