I was sent to QEQM by my community midwife with pre-eclampsia and I was admitted to the labour ward where midwife Kayleigh Mussett took over my care. She made me and my husband feel very comfortable and explained everything she was doing and why it was being done and we felt confident in the advice and care she was giving. All the staff that were present were kind, helpful and conscientious and reassured me through out the birth of my son which resulted in a C-section. After my time on the labour ward I was transferred to another ward (I can't remember the name of this ward but still within the maternity section) the staff here were also conscientious and very helpful with breastfeeding advice in particular Maria (Somaes?) and a student midwife. What was a very daunting experience for me and my husband was made easier by the kindness and empathy all the staff gave us.
