Great care from consultants.
Inpatient ward care from nursing staff can be improved by more continuity of care, coordination and communication and focusing on patient care. I had 3 different Nurses looking after me in a 12hr period and the care became more fragmented and I had to keep telling them what needed to be done. Pain relief also an issue - had to keep asking rather than being offered after major surgery (refers to Wellcome Short Stay Ward).
